How to make quick and simple cards

You can make really pretty and quick cards with very limited supplies if you use a bold embellishment as your focal image.

Simply start by cutting white card stock down to fit the card blank leaving lots of white space.

Then lay your stencil in place, I used stencils from Claire Manning Creative, over the top place a shaped stencil in this case I used a diamond.

Apply ink through the stencils, you may want to tape them down, if you are worried about them moving. When applying the ink, change the pressure you apply the ink with to create lighter and darker areas.

Now its time to add the embellishment. I've used one of my own 3D printed embellishments which I have sprayed with a black primer, I liked how the primer pooled giving some areas greater coverage than others and didn't want to change it. To finish off I framed everything with a black pen, a stamped sentiment and some gold sequins.

This style of card would also be very easy to batch make, if you need to make lots of cards or invites, and with a change of stencil and embellishment your Christmas cards would be a breeze.
